The True Core™ Manifesto

Masteryour ownbody.

You chose to know your body. It is the best decision most people never realise they can make.

Before anything else

You chose to know.

Most people go their whole lives without learning what their core really is. They train it, stretch it, brace it and worry about it — and never once meet it.

You did something different. You decided your body was worth understanding, not just treating. You looked at the options, asked the questions and invested in yourself. That was an informed decision, and a good one.

This page is here so you never have to wonder whether it was the right one.

Awareness

Nobody told you.

It is not your fault that you did not know. It was never taught.

  1. 01

    Unconscious incompetence

You don’t know what your core isn’t doing. Almost everybody starts here — athletes, surgeons, and once, a physiotherapist who taught breathing for a living.

  2. 02

    Conscious incompetence

The assessment shows you, in black and white. It is uncomfortable, and it is the most important moment in the whole process.

  3. 03

    Conscious competence

You learn it, feel it and practise it. For now, it takes your attention.

  4. 04

    Unconscious competence

It runs on its own — every rep, every stair, every breath — without you having to think about it.

Awareness is the turning point. Once you know what your core really is, you cannot un-know it. Everything after that is practice.

What we believe

Eight things this practice stands on.

  1. 01

Your body is yours to master.

Not your physio’s, not your trainer’s, not the next scan’s. True Core™ exists to put the knowledge and the control in your hands, then step out of the way. You are not a patient here. You are a student, and the subject is you.

  2. 02

The core is not what you were told.

It is not a six-pack, and it is not something you brace. It is an inner system at your centre that is meant to arrive before you move, automatically. When it doesn’t, something further out covers for it — and that is where the trouble starts.

  3. 03

    It touches everything.

Pain that keeps coming back. A breath that never quite reaches the bottom. Stress the body cannot put down. Leaks, niggles, plateaus, and the slow giving-up of things you loved. When the centre is not working it shows up everywhere — usually far from the centre, which is why it goes unnoticed for so long.

  4. 04

    Learn. Feel. Do.

Knowing is not enough, and neither is doing exercises you don’t understand. True Core™ is a carefully curated experience: new concepts, taught clearly; coaching until you can feel them in your own body; then practice until they hold up in training, in sport and in life. There is nothing else quite like it, because it was built to do one thing — make you aware.

  5. 05

    Measured, not guessed.

Feeling better is not the same as being better. Everything here is measured, then measured again, so progress is a number you can see rather than a story two people tell each other. You move on when your body meets the standard. Gates, not dates.

  6. 06

I am the facilitator. True Core™ is the vehicle.

I don’t fix you, and I can’t — control of your core is a skill, and a skill cannot be handed over. What I can do is put the right tool in your hands, show you how to drive it, and sit beside you until you can do it without me.

  7. 07

The point is that you won’t need me.

Too much of healthcare quietly benefits from what people don’t know about their own bodies: the repeat appointment, the next scan, the treatment that soothes the symptom and leaves the cause where it was. A model that depends on you not knowing is a subscription to your own dependence. I would rather you leave able to look after yourself — without an appointment, and without permission.

  8. 08

    Then go and live.

Once you are aware, my job is done. Run, lift, dance, climb, carry the grandchildren, get down on the floor with the dog — at whatever level of function you want. Function is compulsory. Fun is optional. But the fun is what we are really here for.

The True Core™ wearable

See the invisible.

Your core works where nobody can see it. Until now.

True Core™ now uses a world-first wearable device to see the invisible: your core working, in session, rep by rep. For the first time, you don’t only feel what is happening at your centre. You see it.

It is patent pending. I invented it, and it is available only at True Core™, with me.

The mission

One million people.

My mission is to teach True Core™ to a million people. I cannot do it on my own.

Many of the people who walk into the studio were sent by someone who came before them. That is how this spreads — not through advertising, but through bodies that work and people who can explain why.

This inner system belongs to everybody. Everyone deserves to know it and to use it. You are now one of the people who does. Pass it on.

You are one of them
A note from Tom

Why I do this.

I’m Tom Rosier, a chartered physiotherapist, and I have run my own private practice for ten years. I have treated international show jumpers, athletes at England training camps, people in intensive care — and everyone in between.

What I know, I learned from thousands of people, some of it the hard way. Babies and the elderly. Employees, and employers of 20,000. Politicians, and people living in poverty. About as different as people get — and every one of them had one thing in common: the True Core™.

That is where the True Core™ Method came from, and it is mine. I realised it after years of research, and years of frustration that traditional therapy was simply not good enough. Then I invented the wearable that lets you see it working.

I have been on the receiving end, too. I sprinted at national level, and I have fractured my spine and my leg, among other injuries. So I know how injury works from both sides of the treatment table — as the expert, and as the person lying on it.

So thank you for trusting me with your body. I take it seriously. My promise is simple: I will tell you the truth about where you are, I will measure everything I can, and I will work to make myself unnecessary.
