Personal training · Newbury

Personal training in Newbury.

One-to-one training planned by a chartered physiotherapist — around your injuries, not despite them — and measured, so every session goes on what is actually holding you back.

What you get

Personal training, planned by a physio.

One to one, at the studio in Newbury. Strength, fitness and movement, built around your goals, your history and the niggles you have been training around for years.

Getting strong for the first time, shaking off the aches of a desk job, training safely around an old injury, or getting ready for your first 10k, a race or a Hyrox.

I’m Tom Rosier, a chartered physiotherapist (MSc, MCSP), a national-level sprinter and a keen rugby player. I train people the way I would want to be trained: hard, but never blind.

Not sure where to start?

Tell me what you’re training for.

Personal training in Newbury, Thatcham, Hungerford and across West Berkshire. Tell me your goal and your history, and you will get a personal reply, usually within two working days.

What makes it different

Every rep, measured.

Most training is coached by eye: that looked better, go again. I measure it — with a patent-pending wearable that shows how your core generates and controls pressure as you move, live, rep by rep, and the True Core™ method built around it.

It shows which reps did the work and which ones your body quietly outsourced somewhere else, so the programme trains what is really holding you back. That is True Core™: the method and the technology I created, sitting underneath the training and making every session count.

Beneath the number sit three things about what your core can really do — three insights most people, and most clinicians, have never been shown. I don’t put them on a website. You learn them on the course, in your own body: learn, feel, do, which is how a measurement becomes something you keep for life.

The tech, and what it means for you

Train harder. Without the setbacks.

The measurement is not a gadget for its own sake. It changes what you train, and how long you can keep training it.

Your progress. Measured on day one and measured again later. You are not asked to trust that it is working — you can see it, in numbers, against your own baseline.

Your body. Training around an injury rather than through it, with your control measured under load, so a niggle is found while it is still a niggle.

See the instrument and its readouts in full — or start with the True Core™ method.

Two ways in

With me, or alongside the team you already have.

True Core™ is not all-or-nothing. The measurement is the valuable part, and it travels.

With me as your trainer. One to one, planned and coached by a physiotherapist, with the programme rewritten from what each measurement shows.

Or alongside the trainer you already have. Happy with your PT? Keep them. Your core, measured, gives them something to build on that no amount of watching can, and you both work from the same picture.

The True Core™ Assessment

Ninety minutes, one to one with me, at the studio in Newbury.

Whether I become your trainer or the measurement goes back to your own PT, this is where it begins: your history, how you move now, measured, and what your goal really asks of you.

  1. 01

What caused it: what your centre was, and wasn’t, doing.

  2. 02

Where you are now, measured, not guessed.

  3. 03

Where you need to get to, set by your life, not a template.
