Strength & conditioning · Newbury

Strength and conditioning in Newbury.

Physio-led strength and conditioning for athletes, clubs and schools: more power, more endurance, better balance — and a measurement that shows where your force is leaking out.

What you get

Power, endurance and balance, from the centre.

Training built for what your sport demands: power to accelerate and strike, endurance to keep doing it late in the game, and balance when you are fast and off-centre.

Rugby, football, golf, running, tennis, hockey, cricket and more. Athletes one to one at the studio, and clubs and schools through seminars.

I’m Tom Rosier, a chartered physiotherapist who has worked from intensive care wards to England training camps, a national-level sprinter and a keen rugby player.

What makes it different

See where the force leaks.

You can’t fire a cannon from a canoe, and most conditioning never checks the canoe. I measure it — with a patent-pending wearable that shows how your core generates and controls pressure as you move, live, rep by rep, and the True Core™ method built around it.

Without control of the centre, force leaks out of the middle however strong your arms and legs are. The readout shows where, and the programme closes it. That is True Core™: the method and the technology I created, sitting underneath the strength work and making every rep productive.

Beneath the number sit three things about what your core can really do — three insights most people, and most clinicians, have never been shown. I don’t put them on a website. You learn them on the course, in your own body: learn, feel, do, which is how a measurement becomes something you keep for life.

The tech, and what it means for you

More output. Fewer injuries.

The measurement is not a gadget for its own sake. It changes what you get out of training, and how often you are fit to do it.

Your performance. The strength you already have, delivered through a centre that holds — so more of it turns into speed, power and distance.

Your injuries. The fast, off-centre moments every sport is decided by are the ones where injuries happen. Control measured there, under load and under fatigue, is control you can rely on in a game.

Two ways in

With me, or alongside the team you already have.

True Core™ is not all-or-nothing. The measurement is the valuable part, and it travels.

With me as your S&C coach. Programme, coaching and measurement from one person who is also a physiotherapist, so injury risk is built into the plan rather than found on the pitch.

Or alongside your club, coach or school. Keep your coach and your squad sessions. The measurement plugs into them, so the strength coach, the physio and the athlete are finally working from the same picture.

The True Core™ Assessment

Ninety minutes, one to one with me, at the studio in Newbury.

Whether I coach you or the measurement goes back to your club, this is where it begins: your history, your sport, and how your centre holds up when the load and the speed go up.

  1. 01

What caused it: what your centre was, and wasn’t, doing.

  2. 02

Where you are now, measured, not guessed.

  3. 03

Where you need to get to, set by your life, not a template.
